The Methodist Church

Hull West Circuit

Hull is amongst other things, the Home of William Wilberforce, famed for his work in ending the slave trade in Britain. His work, and the continuing need for a campaign to prevent the trafficking of human beings was a theme for 2007 in our churches as well as throughout Hull and the East Riding. This film, which includes footage of a gospel choir formed in an ecumenical project between the Methodist and Anglican churches in Hull shows some of the fantastic work that goes on within Hull. Also included are extracts from Cargo a Paul Field Musical which premiered in Hull assisted by some of own church members, and the Hull Freedom trail, again resourced by members of our churches.
